MANILA, Philippines - The city of Manila will finally have its own Hall of Justice.
The Supreme Court (SC) approved the allocation for the construction of the city's Hall of Justice taken from existing savings.
SC acting spokesperson Atty. Maria Victoria Gleoresty Guerra said P1.865 billion is earmarked for the Manila Hall of Justice.
The Court of Appeals (CA) Cebu will also get P266.95 million, on top of the P40 million earmarked in 2004 for the construction of its new building.
Construction for the Court of Appeals Cagayan de Oro (CDO) will receive a budget of P251.27 million in addition to the P40 million also set aside in 2004 for the purpose.
Both CA Cebu and CA CDO are currently renting spaces.
The total amount for the construction of these courts is P2.38 billion.
