MANILA - An employment agency lost P300,000 worth of items after they were deceived by a woman who posed as an applicant.

The suspect, Ederlisa Evardone, went to the employment agency owned by Vince Abasolo to look for a job as a helper.

Abasolo accepted her after she presented her documents, including a clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation.

The victim also allowed Evardone to sleep inside their office the night before she was supposed to be turned over to her new employer.

However, a closed-circuit television (CCTV) video footage showed Evardone leaving the office past 4 a.m. on Saturday carrying two bags.

The owners then found out that Evardone took with her laptops, cellphones, cash and an expensive bag.

They also learned that she used a fake address, and all her documents were fake.

According to Makati Police, Evardone has a previous record for a similar crime.

Authorities appealed to the public to report any information on the whereabouts of the suspect by calling (02) 703-5209.
