EDSA road reblocking resumes, heavy traffic expected

MANILA -- Motorists should expect heavy traffic this weekend as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) resumes road repairs along EDSA and other major roads in Metro Manila.

Reblocking will be from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m until July 16, Tuesday next week.

The following areas will undergo repairs:

EDSA Pasay City, from General Santos to Wood Street (southbound, 3rd lane)

EDSA Quezon City, from Home Depot to Oliveros Footbridge (northbound, 3rd lane)

EDSA Quezon City, from Kaingin Road to Dario Bridge (southbound, 4th lane)

Elliptical Road, Quezon City, going Commonwealth Avenue (3rd lane); from center island between Kalayaan Avenue and Maharlikha Avenue going East Avenue (6th lane); from sidewalk between Visayas Avenue and Quezon Avenue

EDSA Mandaluyong City, from Reliance Street to Libertad Street (northbound)

EDSA Mandaluyong City, Boni Avenue to Mayon Street (southbound)

EDSA Makati City, from Buendia to Guadalupe Bridge (northbound, outer lane)

EDSA Makati City, from Guadalupe to Bernardino Street (southbound, outer lane)

EDSA Caloocan City, Monumento Circle (southbound, 3rd lane)

EDSA Caloocan City, from MCU Hospital to General Simon Street (northbound)

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion in these areas.
