Flags at half mast in Manila for Dolphy’s death
MANILA, Philippines – Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim on Wednesday ordered that flags in all offices in the city be placed at half mast to observe the death of Comedy King Dolphy.
“You are hereby directed to display the Philippine flag in half mast in your respective offices due to the death of Mr. Rodolfo Vera Quizon aka Dolphy,” Lim’s Chief of Staff Ricardo de Guzman told the city’s department and bureau heads in a memorandum released Wednesday.
The memorandum noted that Dolphy was awarded the “Gawad Diwa ng Lahi” by the city 441st foundation day.
Dolphy died Tuesday night at the Makati Medical Center due to multiple organ failure. He was 83.
His remains are now at the The Heritage Park in Taguig City.
