MANILA – Several employees of Sandiganbayan went out of their respective offices and held a brief rally Thursday to demand for a wage increase.
The employees, members of the Sandiganbayan Employees Association - Confederation for the Unity, Respect and Advancement of Government Employees (SEA-Courage), are demanding a P6,000 wage increase.
They are also opposing a planned hike on taxes.
The employees, carrying a large tarpaulin which says ''No to tax increase, Yes to wage increase,'' held their rally in front of the anti-graft court during their lunch break.
They said they might do another rally if the government would not heed their request. – report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
