MANILA, Philippines – The La Mesa Dam in Quezon City remains under red alert even as rains have eased off, an official said on Thursday.

La Mesa dam headworks Teddy Angeles said as of 2 p.m., the water level of the dam was at 79.79 meters, or 0.36 meters short of the spilling level.

This was lower than the 6 a.m. water level of 79.87 meters.

Barangays Fairview, San Bartolome, Santa Lucia, Gulod, Santa Monica, Novaliches Proper and Nagkaisang Nayon are at risk of being submerged in floods if the dam overflows.
