P12M worth of fake bags seized

MANILA -- The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confiscated around P12 million worth of counterfeit bags in Pasay and Parañaque Saturday.

Operatives from the NBI Intellectual Property Rights Division raided two stalls of Wide-Eyed Merchandise, owned by Kai Wien Bien and Rufino Catanghal.

The stalls are located inside Baclaran Terminal Plaza, and in Baclaran Bagong Milenyo Plaza in Pasay.

A total of 5,054 counterfeit JanSport bags, and 279 North Face bags were confiscated.

The owners will be charged with violation of Republic Act 8283, or the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines -- Report from Ricky Velasco, DZMM
