Bank manager victimized by carjackers

MANILA, Philippines – A manager of multinational banking corporation JP Morgan Chase & Co. was victimized by carjackers in Marikina City, early morning Wednesday.

Victim Sherlyn Marie Rapisura, 35, was about to park her 2010 model Hyundai Tucson (NQU 971) at her residence in Barangay Concepcion, Marikina City when four armed men forcibly entered her car, pointed a gun at her, and told her to drive.

Upon reaching a gasoline station in Barangay Ususan, Taguig City, Rapisura was asked by the suspects to withdraw P46,000 from an ATM.

Rapisura then continued driving and reached Maya Street in Barangay Rizal, Makati, where she was dropped by the suspects.

According to Rapisura, she heard from the suspects that a back-up group of three men were driving behind them.

A tricycle driver found the trembling Rapisura and accompanied her to the Taguig City Police Station.

A follow-up operation is now being conducted by the Taguig and Marikina PNP. – report from DZMM
