MANILA - The PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group - National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) has filed a complaint of child trafficking against a nanny who sold a 1-year-old baby for P500 and a bus ticket.

The CIDG said Angeline Angono, 18, abducted a 1-year-old baby girl from Libertad, Pasay and sold her to a childless woman for P500 and a bus ticket to the Visayas.

Angono was apprehended by members of the Highway Patrol Group while she was on board a BLTB bus going to Leyte last Monday, June 23.

The child was recovered in a hospital in Pasig the following day after she was left there by a woman identified as Bale Madrigal.

The baby's mother, Jenneth Borre, the private complainant in the case, was reunited with her one-year-old daughter on Tuesday.

Both Borre and Angono refused to be interviewed on camera.

But Borre said off camera that she is hoping the suspect will rot in jail for kidnapping her daughter.
