MANILA, Philippines – The vehicle of an Army official parked outside his quarters in Camp Aguinaldo was stolen by unidentified suspects early Saturday, police said.

SPO3 Edwin Sison of Quezon City Police District Station 8 said the vehicle’s owner, Col. Nelson Sidrom, was at Kapinpin Avenue when the alleged carnapping took place.

Investigation showed that the suspects entered Sidrom’s quarters through a window and stole his iPhone before stealing the keys to his 3 vehicles.

The suspects took the official’s green Mazda Familia (UPJ-652) but also opened his Mazda X-Trail and Honda City, which were also parked outside his quarters.

Results from the investigation of the Quezon City Crime Laboratory showed that it is possible that a small child entered through the window based on the small fingerprints that were found.

Investigations are still ongoing, as of posting. -- Report from Robert Mano, dzMM
