MANILA, Philippines – A 15-year old girl was abducted and raped twice by a man she met through text.

Based on the victim’s statement, she met factory worker Roberto Dulay, 22, last June 11 in Recto, Manila after a month of exchanging text messages and calls.

The girl was supposed to submit her college requirements, but was encouraged by the suspect to postpone it. Dulay then brought the victim to Meycauayan, Bulacan where the victim was first raped.

Dulay denied forcing the teenager. He said they have a relationship that started out with countless text messaging and unlimited calls.

Authorities reminded parents to keep a close watch on their children, particularly those using mobile phones.
