LTO nabs 1100 traffic violators in 2 weeks

MANILA – After two weeks of patrolling the streets near schools in Metro Manila, the Land Transportation Office (LTO)’s Balik-Eskwela 2014 program caught a total of 1,100 traffic violators.

According to LTO, the most common traffic violations are reckless driving, not wearing of helmets and possession of fake driving license.

The Balik-Eskwela 2014 aims to ensure the safety of commuters and pedestrians alike.

LTO’s report will be forwarded to the Department of Transportation and Communications.

LTO is also planning on launching Oplan Ligtas-Byahe sa Tag-ulan at the start of the rainy season.
