MANILA – A pedicab driver was shot dead in Tondo, Manila on Monday evening.

The victim, identified as Deomedez Timoteo, was gunned down at the corner of Carlos Garcia and Sampaloc streets at around 10 p.m.
Timoteo was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.

Timoteo's daughter, Mary Ann Antoque, tagged their neighbors, father and son Samson Dongon Sr. and Samson Dongon Jr. alias ''Biboy'', as the gunmen.

The Dongons managed to escape but their alleged cohort, Angelito Ferrer, was arrested.

Mary Ann claimed that the Dongons, who are alleged drug pushers, were accusing her father of being a police informant.

Ferrer's mother, Dolores, said should not be implicated in the killing. She said her son even helped in bringing Timoteo to the hospital. – report from Francis Faulve, ABS-CBN News
