MANILA -- A car fell into the Talayan Creek along Araneta Avenue in Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon.
According to traffic personnel, the car was traversing Araneta Avenue and was bound for Quezon Avenue.
Near Ma. Clara Street, the car suddenly turned left, went straight toward the railings, and fell into the creek.
The car's female driver, identified as 18-year-old Joshielou Azarcon, was trapped inside the car.
She was rescued two hours later and was brought to St. Luke's Hospital.
Rescuers had a hard time pulling her out of the vehicle because Azarcon reportedly sustained a back injury.
Initial investigation showed that the car's wheel blew up, which resulted in the driver losing control of her car.
The incident worsened the traffic situation in the area as motorists stop at the scene to take pictures of the incident. -- report from Robert Mano, DZMM
