P1M of property destroyed in QC fire

MANILA, Philippines – An estimated P1 million worth of property was destroyed when part of a building at E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue at Barangay Bagumbayan, Quezon City caught fire on Sunday.

According to SFO3 Albert Flores, the radio operator of the Quezon City Fire Department, the fire started at the power room, which is located at the first floor of the Delta Milling Industry building.

The second to fifth floors of the building did not catch fire.
The firemen had some trouble putting out the flame, however, as electric cables kept exploding.

The fire started at 12:48 a.m and reached the second alarm before being declared out at 1:10 a.m. -- Report from Dennis Datu, DZMM.
