Turkish hurt in QC snatching incident

MANILA, Philippines – A 73-year-old Turkish national was rushed to a hospital after he was shot by a snatcher in Cubao, Quezon City on Friday.

Initial investigation showed that the victim was waiting for a cab with his girlfriend along P. Tuazon when an unidentified suspect snatched his necklace.

The jewelry was reportedly worth P60,000.

The victim went after the suspect but was shot on the left leg.

He was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center where he is recovering from his gunshot wound.

Authorities failed to arrest the suspect, who immediately fled after the shooting incident. -- Report from Robert Mano, dzMM
