MANILA - What did starlet Krista Miller do with convicted drug lord Ricardo Camata inside his hospital room at the Metropolitan Hospital in Manila last May 31?
Nothing but talk, according to Miller, who said she was eager to close a sale with Camata whom she first met inside the New Bilibid Prison last month.
Asked if Camata is still buying the condo, she said: "I don't know if he is still interested."
Miller arrived last May 31 at the Metropolitan Hospital at 7:24 p.m. She was left alone with Camata for 10 minutes, from 8:11 p.m. to 8:21 p.m.
Miller was earlier identified by Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan as the "fair-skinned woman" who visited the drug lord inside his hospital room last May 31. This is despite a restriction that states only close family members and individuals in a pre-approved list with the New Bilibid Prison should be allowed visits of inmates.
In a press briefing, Miller confirmed that a talent coordinator, identified only as "Jeff," invited her to join a "sagala project" inside NBP last May. She said that after the event, she was paid a talent fee by Camata.
"I learned that Mr. Camata is a high-profile inmate so I started offering him a condo. He seemed interested so I visited him a couple of times," she said, adding that she went back to the NBP at least twice.
She said she followed up with "Jeff" if Camata was still interested in the condo and was informed that the inmate was in a hospital. She said she told Jeff if she could visit the inmate in the hospital.
She said she even informed her office about her visit because they have to report about their sales at least three times a week.
Miller admitted that she has been labeled a "bad girl" by some after she was linked to the break-up of celebrity couple Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz. She said she came forward because she wanted to clear her name in the latest controversy.
She also confirmed that because of the previous gossip, she received "indecent proposals" in the course of her work as a real estate agent.
"Kung tinanggap ko lahat ng indecent proposals nila e di sana ang taas-taas ng sales ko," she said.
Miller said she is working hard to dispel what people think of her.
The starlet said she is willing to cooperate with the Department of Justice investigation but that she did not violate the law.
