MANILA – Two suspected former leaders of breakaway communist rebel group Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPA-ABB) were shot dead in Alabang, Muntinlupa on Tuesday, police said.
Muntinlupa Police chief Senior Superintendent Allan Nobleza said George Acero and Romeo Dacles died while being treated at the hospital.
The two were shot at the Alabang public market by two motorcycle-riding gunmen.
Police have yet to determine whether the ambush is connected with the victims' affiliation with the group.
