Customs seizes fake cigarettes, coffee from China

MANILA – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized millions of pesos worth of fake branded cigarettes and instant coffee stored in a warehouse in Gocheco Bldg., C.M. Recto, Manila.

The seized products, allegedly smuggled from China, are estimated to worth P30 million, according to Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon.

Biazon said they are investigating if the seized goods are part of the shipment also busted by Customs in Tondo recently.

They are also investigating how the products were smuggled into the country. -- Report from Noel Alamar, dzMM
