MANILA – Two alleged drug pushers were killed in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City before dawn on Tuesday.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) personnel exchanged fire with the two unidentified suspects after the latter realized that they were dealing with an undercover agent.
No civilian was hurt in the gun battle along Katuparan Street.
Recovered from the suspects were 50 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P100,000, 2 pistols, and a stolen motorcycle.
On Sunday, police arrested two Chinese nationals in an operation in Fairview area. Police seized over P25 million worth of shabu from them.
Police investigators are looking into the possibility that the slain suspects in today's operation were cohorts of the suspects in the shooting spree in Fairview earlier this month. – report from Francis Faulve, ABS-CBN News
