MANILA, Philippines – Ramona Bautista will face the court in due time after being implicated in the murder of her brother, actor-politician Ramgen Revilla.

Ramona’s mother, Genelyn Magsaysay, made this assurance Monday during a hearing of the Revilla case at the Parañaque Regional Trial Court branch 274.

Magsaysay said she has no communication with her daughter, who is allegedly hiding in Turkey after being implicated in the murder.

Ramona left for Hong Kong last November 4, 2011, the same day she admitted on ANC that she lied to police about being abducted by Ramgen’s killers.

Ramgen, real name Ramgen Jose Magsaysay Bautista, was killed by a masked assailant inside the family’s home in Parañaque City last October 29, 2011. His girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, was shot by the assailant but survived the incident.

On Monday, one of the arresting officers in the Revilla case testified on how police nabbed murder suspects Michael Nartea and Roy Francis Tolisora.

In his testimony, SPO4 Charlie Mayoca said main witness Ruel Puzon gave information on how to locate the 2 suspects.

The defense, however, said police relied only on Puzon's words to arrest the 2. Lawyer Jeffrey Gepte said police had no additional evidence to arrest Ramgen's brother, Ramon Joseph "RJ" Bautista, after he was implicated by Nartea and Tolisora.

Prosecutors said they are confident that they will soon prove the involvement of RJ and the 5 other accused, including Glaiza Visda, Norwin dela Cruz and Ryan Pastera.

Prosecution lawyer Resty Mendoza said they will present 5 more witnesses, including Janelle Manahan who might take the witness stand after 2 more hearings.

Genelyn Magsaysay was also present in the hearing and insisted on RJ's innocence.

RJ, through his lawyer, has filed a petition for bail.
