Fort Bonifacio fire victim dies

MANILA -- Another soldier who sustained serious injuries due to the fire incident at the Army Support Command munitions depot in Fort Bonifacio last week has died, reports said.

According to Noel Agabao, senior nurse of the burn unit of East Avenue Medical Center, Ferdinand Rasal, 51, died past 10:00 Wednesday evening.

The hospital, however, refused to disclose what caused Rasal's death.

Rasal was transferred from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Medical Center to the burn unit of East Avenue Medical Center.

He is the second fatality in the Fort Bonifacio fire.

The first fatality was Corporal Bernabe Mota, who succumbed to his wounds at the V. Luna General Hospital last May 9.
