NBI agent gunned down in Antipolo

MANILA, Philippines – An agent of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was shot dead by three unidentified men in Antipolo City on Saturday.

The victim identified as Atty. Leandro Yanguas, 43, was gunned down at along Soliven Avenue in Barangay Mayamot around 3 p.m.

A witness said he and the victim's live-in partner were on board a Toyota Fortuner when the suspects attacked.

The shooting took place near the victim’s residence.

Investigators said the suspects shot Ynaguas several times using a .45-caliber pistol. – With a report from Bettina Magsaysay, ABS-CBN
