MANILA -- The temperature in Metro Manila soared to 36.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In an interview with DZMM, PAGASA weather forecaster Buddy Javier said this is the highest temperature in Metro Manila for this year.
The temperature was recorded at 3 p.m.
The last recorded highest temperature in Metro Manila was at 36.4 degrees Celsius last May 1.
