MANILA, Philippines – Three people were rushed to a hospital Wednesday night after figuring in an accident along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

The victims were identified as motorcycle driver Kenneth Beltran and construction workers Vicente Palagana, 52, and Robito Palagana.

Paolo Reyes, who was on board a motorcycle with the 23-year-old Beltran, told police that they were on the northbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue when the 2 other victims crossed the street in front of Doña Carmen Subdivision.

Beltran failed to stop, hitting the two workers.

The 3 victims sustained wounds all over their bodies.

They were immediately brought to the East Avenue Medical Center.

Commonwealth Avenue has been tagged as a "killer highway" for the high number of fatal accidents that have occurred in the area. -- Report from Zandro Ochoa, dzMM
