Japanese businessman gunned down in Paranaque

MANILA -- A Japanese businessman died on the spot after he was shot by gunmen on a motorcycle on Dr. A. Santos Avenue, in Paranaque City on Tuesday night, police said.

Initial investigation showed that the victim, Hiroshi Sato Iwasaki, was on his way home on board his car when the gunmen approached his vehicle and fired at him.

Authorities recovered a caliber .45 slug on the scene.

No one recognized the suspects, who were both wearing helmets.

The motorcycle they used also had no license plate.

The victim's family owns a travel agency.
