MANILA, Philippines – Businessman Cedric Lee is now detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters in Manila, along with co-accused Simeon "Zimmer" Raz.

Lee and Raz arrived at the NAIA Terminal 3 this morning after being arrested in Oras, Eastern Samar on Saturday.

They and several others are charged with serious illegal detention and grave coercion for the mauling of actor-host Vhong Navarro last January.

Justice Secretary Lelia de Lima last Monday had said that one of the accused revealed there was indeed a plot to maul Navarro.

That accused, whom De Lima did not identify, wants to turn state witness.

Lee and his other companions have claimed that they caught Navarro raping model Deniece Cornejo at her condominium unit, but the Justice Department has dismissed Cornejo’s rape complaint against the actor. – News Now, ANC, April 27, 2014.
