MANILA -- A grenade was thrown in front of Manila Police District Station 1 in Raxa Bago in Tondo on Thursday afternoon, police said.
The grenade thrower was on a motorcycle, intial investigation showed.
No one was hurt in the blast, but a car owned by a certain Police Supt. Añonuevo caught fire.
Some motorcycles parked outside the police station were hit.
The Manila police bomb squad said the grenade used had a 40 to 50-meter casualty range.
Police Inspector Arnold Santos said the incident could be a form of revenge against the police.
They are currently reviewing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) recordings to identify the suspect. -- report from Ricky Velasco, dzMM
