Nigerian nabbed for drugs in NAIA

MANILA, Philippines – A Nigerian man was arrested by authorities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on Saturday for allegedly carrying illegal drugs.

The suspect, Sandy Michael Owogodore, was caught with an estimated 3.1 kilograms of shabu, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group said.

Owogodore arrived in Manila via Thai Airways flight TG-624 from Cairo, Egypt.

Authorities said he had booked a room in one of the hotels in Makati prior to his arrival.
