MANILA, Philippines – Operations of line 2 of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) were suspended around 6:40 p.m. on Friday due to technical problems.
Train operations from Recto station until Santolan station and vice versa were halted for 10 minutes, affecting thousands of passengers.
LRTA spokesman Atty. Hernando Cabrera said the one of the train doors’ air lift tank encountered a problem when it made a stop at the V. Mapa station eastbound.
Cabrera said the air lift tank is an instrument in the opening of train doors.
The train’s operations returned to normal at around 6:50 p.m. -- Report from Ricky Velasco, dzMM
