MANILA -- Passengers who chose to avoid the crowd during the Holy Week exodus continue to flock to bus terminals in Metro Manila on Black Saturday.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) said they had anticipated passengers still coming to bus terminals even on the latter days of the Holy Week.
Police Supt. Ramon Pranada of the Quezon City police said, last year, around 5,000 province-bound passengers packed the Araneta Bus Terminal alone on Black Saturday.
Meanwhile, the PNP also said that despite the large number of passengers, they have recorded zero crime rates at the Araneta Bus Terminal during the Holy Week.
Authorities said they will remain on alert as vacationers are expected to start traveling back to Metro Manila on Easter Sunday.--- report from Kori Quintos, ABS-CBN News
