MANILA, Philippines – A man died after his motorcycle and another car were rammed by an oil truck in Sta. Ana, Manila on Monday morning.
An oil truck, with plate number RFH 744, rammed an approaching car and motorcycle while on its way down the Lambingan Bridge at around 10 a.m.
The motorcycle rider, who has yet to be identified, was instantly killed in the crash.
The car driver and his passengers, on the other hand, only sustained minor injuries.
The truck driver lost control of the vehicle after its brakes failed. He fled the scene after his truck rammed a hardware store.
No one was injured inside the hardware store, but residents fear of an explosion after the driver left the truck engine turned on.
