MANILA - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will suspend the implementation of number coding for provincial buses starting on Tuesday in anticipation of the road reblocking and repairs along EDSA this Holy Week.
The number coding for provincial buses will be lifted from Holy Tuesday, April 15, until Easter Monday, April 21.
The MMDA granted the request of about 50 provincial bus operators that their buses be exempted from the number coding scheme since the scheduled road repairs along EDSA will cause delay in their travel time.
Many Metro Manila residents are expected to head to provinces for the Holy Week break.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road repair projects starting April 15, Tuesday, until April 21, Monday. -- Report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
