MANILA, Philippines – Fire razed 11 homes in Tondo, Manila on Thursday.
The fire allegedly started in the home of Jocelyn Calindato at 12:11 p.m.
Several residents said they saw Calindato’s child unattended and playing with matches before the fire broke out.
Calindato admitted that the she left her child alone in the house to accompany a neighbor to the clinic.
Fire reached the third alarm before it was put out at 12:36 p.m.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire. They estimate the damage to cost around P50,000.
