MANILA, Philippines -- A woman reportedly jumped from the third floor of SM Southmall in Las Piñas this afternoon, hours after another SM mall trended on social media.
According to SM Southmall management, a customer and a mall security guard tried to stop the woman from jumping, but were not successful. She was brought to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The woman was estimated by investigators to be around 30-40 years old. Her identity remains unknown, as no means of identification were found on her person.
The police have been advised of the incident.
According to twitter user @izzylovesmae, the mall management managed to immediately clear the area where the woman fell to her death.
