MANILA -- Two suitcases filled with shabu worth around P118 million were confiscated by the Manila police from two Filipino-Chinese suspects in Binondo early morning Tuesday.
The suitcases contained 10 packages of shabu, wrapped in aluminium foil and plastic.
The packages were covered with clothes and placed inside the suitcases, police said.
The two suspects, identified as John Chua Sy and Anthony Chiu, were reported smoking marijuana just a few meters away from the police station.
The two refused to comment on the allegations.
Authorities are investigating whether the suspects were waiting for someone, or were supposed to deliver the suitcases.
The suspects will be charged with violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act. -- report from Niko Baua, ABS-CBN News
