MANILA -- The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is considering the implementation of a four-day work week for some of its offices, an official said.
According to MMDA Assistant General Manager for Operations Emerson Carlos, Chairman Francis Tolentino already gave out an order to outline a four-day work week scheme.
This is to help determine which offices can be put under the new scheme.
MMDA also clarified that only non-frontline services will be considered for this scheme.
The office believes that reducing the number of work days in a week can help lessen the volume of traffic, as well as electricity and other office expenses. -- report from Dennis Datu, DZMM
