MANILA -- The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has donated 90 boxes containing left-behind items from the airport's different terminals to fire victims in Tondo, Manila.

MIAA General Manager Jose Angel Honrado directed Major Melchor delos Santos of the airport police's lost and found section to segregate the unclaimed items and distribute these to Caritas Manila and fire victims in Barangay 123, Zone 9, District 1, Tondo.

The boxes contain clothes, pillows, towels, carpets, bed sheets, bags, wallets, hats, school supplies and assorted toys.

According to Honrado, the airport board conducted a series of deliberations before it approved the distribution of the items to the public.
