MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) assured residents of Metro Manila that there is enough water supply for the summer.

This comes amid fears of a water shortage due to extreme heat and the absence of rain.

According to Enviroment Secretary Ramon Paje, the water level at the Angat Dam remains normal at 206.42 meters.

Meanwhile, the National Water Resources Board has also been ordered to regularly monitor levels at the Angat Dam.

The dam supplies 97% of Metro Manila’s water needs. -- ANC
