MANILA, Philippines - The headless, disemboweled remains of a 4-year-old boy were found Thursday in Rizal province just east of Metro Manila.
The legs of the victim, identified as Mark Escarmosa, were also missing.
The boy's parents, Marlon and Elena Escarmosa, said their child went missing March 19.
His mutilated remains were discovered near their home in Barangay Malaya, Pililla, Rizal.
The boy's father said Mark was last seen playing near their home before he went missing.
He said his son's head was separated from the body when it was discovered.
"Nakahiwalay po siya," he told dzMM early Friday morning. "Hindi ko na makilala eh."
He said his son had a large wound in the stomach and the boy's organs were missing.
"Hindi ko na kayang tignan po," he said.
Escarmosa said they earlier reported the missing boy to police.
Police have allegedly refused to conduct an autopsy on the boy's remains, which were in an advanced state of decomposition.
"Ang balak to po, ipapa-autopsy. Hindi na po daw kayang i-autopsy, dahil una, wala na raw pong lamang-loob," the victim's father said.
He said no police Scene of Crime Operation (SOCO) officer arived after his son's body was found.
Police have yet to issue an official statement on the case. - report from Zandro Ochona, dzMM
