MANILA, Philippines -  The Land Transportation Office on Wednesday extended until April 31, 2010 the moratorium on its "no plate, no travel" policy for new vehicles as well as non-apprehension of vehicles that have been registered but were not issued windshield stickers and year tags due to lack of supply.

In a memorandum, LTO Assistant Secretary Arturo Lomibao said the 30-day extension gives vehicle owners enough time to claim their license plates, windshield stickers and tags.

He said he has also informed the Philippine National Police and the Metro Manila Development Authority to honor the extension on the moratorium.
