MANILA, Philippines – The Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 1 experienced difficulties once again as its Baclaran-Monumento train suddenly broke down Wednesday morning.
Reports said that the train malfunction was due to a technical problem.
The train was in Carriedo Station in Manila when it suddenly stopped, forcing the passengers to alight the train. The train’s operations were delayed for 8 minutes because of the incident.
A south-bound LRT train was also suspended Monday after the train emitted smoke, causing passengers to panic. Four passengers were injured after one passenger tried to escape by breaking the train’s windows. Report from Noel Alamar, DzMM
