Sen. Revilla, family going to Holy Land
MANILA – The camp of Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla on Saturday denied rumors that the senator and his family are leaving the country in light of the warrant of arrest that would be issued against him in connection with the PDAF scam.
Revilla’s media relations officer Amy Manzo said the rumors, spreading through text, are merely to tarnish the senator’s reputation.
The family’s trip to the Holy Land from March 30 until April 30, she said, had been planned a long time ago, information of which was even given to the media.
Department of Justice secretary Leila de Lima had also been informed of the trip. Revilla’s camp had submitted authority to travel papers at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Revillas will also be travelling with close friends from show business and the Church.
