MANILA - The Department of Justice (DOJ) will not oppose any move from the camp of Andrea Rosal, daughter of the late NPA spokesman Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal, to seek hospital detention because of her pregnancy.

"I don't have a problem with that provided the court allows it," Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said in a text message to ABS-CBN News on Friday.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) arrested
Rosal, along with 2 others, in Caloocan City on Thursday.

Rosal, also known as Naiya or Liam, has standing warrants of arrest for kidnapping and murder issued by the Mauban, Quezon Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 64.

She was also implicated in a criminal case for attempted homicide filed in Luisiana-Cavinti in Laguna, the military said.

Also arrested were her security escort identified only as "Che," as well as barangay chairman Ruben Gatchalian who owns the house where they were staying.

Rosal is reportedly 8 months pregnant. - with a report from Ina Reformina, ABS-CBN News
