MANILA, Philippines – A Filipino who went into hiding in South Korea after allegedly hurting his girlfriend was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The suspect, identified as Jessie Magaway, fled to South Korea days after the court issued a warrant of arrest against him for allegedly hurting his girlfriend.
He was arrested by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents upon his arrival at the NAIA Terminal 2 past midnight Tuesday.
The Parañaque Regional Trial Court on March 12, 2011 issued the arrest warrant against Magaway for a charge of violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004. – report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
