MANILA, Philippines - A coach got detached from the rest of a Metro Rail Transit (MRT) train, but an official said nobody was hurt.

MRT public relations officer Lysa Blancaflor said the train was plying south-bound from the Quezon Avenue station when the coach “accidentally” got detached near the Kamuning Station at 7:58 a.m. Monday.

Passengers from the first coaches were allowed to disembark at the Kamuning Station in Quezon City.

Those from the detached coach were, however, left to walk along the rails.

The rest of the system was already normally operating late Monday morning.

MRT officials are now investigating the cause of the incident.
