MANILA – A former college basketball player was arrested in a buy-bust operation at the Bonifacio Global City before dawn on Wednesday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

PDEA only identified the suspect by the alias "Rey," a former collegiate player who supposedly tried to enter the professional league but did not make it.

The anti-illegal drugs agency said Rey was caught with 30 capsules of suspected party drug "ecstasy" and a bottle of the same drug in liquid form.
