MANILA – A Chinese businessman was found dead inside his sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Lawton, Manila before dawn Saturday.
The victim was identified as Angel Dy, 59, an owner of a resto bar in Intramuros.
Dy was last seen at about midnight when he left his resto bar. His wife called up the resto bar at 3 a.m. to check on him. His employees then started looking for him.
At about 3:45 a.m., the employees found Dy's car along Lawton. His body was found in the backseat of his Mitsubishi Montero. His hands and feet were bound with masking tape.
No wounds were found on his body, so authorities think he may have died of a heart attack.
Dy’s relatives confirmed that he indeed had heart problems.
The victim’s cellphone and clutch bag containing an unknown amount of money were missing.
The Manila Police District Homicide Division is now eyeing robbery-hold –up as motive for the crime.
