MANILA -- Two Nigerian men were arrested in Dasmariñas, Cavite on Tuesday for hacking into credit card accounts.

The suspects, identified as Michael Aghedo and Mohammad Buba, were captured by the National Bureau of Investigation's (NBI) Cybercrime Division.

Recovered from the suspects was a laptop that had details of hacked credit card accounts.

According to the NBI, the suspects would find their way into the emails of companies that offer online purchases and intercept the payments as well as details of the credit cards used by the customers.

"Part sila ng international syndicate at ito yung grupo na nagha-hack ng accounts at nagbo-book ng fraudulent transactions," Victor Lorenzo of the NBI's Cybercrime Division said.

Both Aghedo and Buba will be charged for violating the Access Device Act and E-Commerce Act. -- Report from Maan Macapagal, ABS-CBN News
