PNoy asked to send Sabah 'peacekeeping force'
MANILA - The Volunteers Against Crime And Corruption (VACC) urged the Philippine government on Monday to send a peacekeeping force to Sabah to stop attacks and alleged human rights abuses against Filipino Muslims.
VACC official Dante Jimenez called on President Aquino to protect the rights of Filipino Muslims in Sabah.
The VACC also expressed support to the claim of the Sultan Jamalul Kiram III on Sabah.
Jimenez said that it should be Filipinos who should reap the fruits of the billions of dollars in profits that Malaysians get from Sabah.
The VACC also offered to provide lawyers to tackle cases of alleged mass killings of Filipino Muslims in Sabah.
A daughter of the sultan, Jacel Kiram, thanked the VACC.
She claimed that they received reports of more atrocities and abuses against Filipino Muslims in Sabah, including the killing and beatings of women and children.
